NetHui

National NetHui

The National NetHui is the largest and longest of the NetHui events. It is held every other year and attracts an audience of approximately 500 participants.

As with every NetHui, participation is at the heart of every National NetHui: participants can be as involved as they like, get in the thick of it or listen and learn, it’s up to them. The programme is varied:

  • The National NetHui is a 2 day event - or 3 days if you include Day Zero, which is held for individual communities to have time by themselves.
  • Each day kicks off with a plenary session with keynotes and panels.
  • Hour-long discussion and download sessions are held throughout the two days on topics and issues put forward by the community.
  • There are also a number of meetups and networking opportunities in the evenings, where people can indulge in specific areas of interest, unwind and have some fun.
  • All National NetHui sessions are live streamed for those people who can’t attend in person.

The National NetHui is known for its low cost of attendance which ensures genuine cross-sector participation and discussion: tickets for our National NetHui are only $55 for the two days. There is also the option of purchasing a ‘champion ticket’ for those who would like to support the cause: champion tickets are $150, and along with your registration, you will receive a NetHui champion name badge and will be acknowledged during the closing ceremony.

NetHui wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of a large number of sponsors and community supporters. If you would like to sponsor NetHui please contact nethui@internetnz.net.nz.
