A one-off, special topic-specific NetHui can be scheduled from time-to-time where the New Zealand Internet community need to explore, discuss and debate topics that are important and timely, in addition to the National and Regional NetHui events.
Anyone from the Internet community in New Zealand can submit a special NetHui topic for consideration. InternetNZ will then consult on the relevance and timeliness and, if agreed, will announce the topic and date of the special NetHui before calling for community input on the design of the programme.
As with every NetHui, participation is at the heart of every topic-specific NetHui. There are a lot of different ways to get involved and share your ideas:
propose a session
meetups and side events
speaker or panelist ideas
register to attend.
And just like all of our NetHui, every session is live streamed for those people who can’t attend in person.
A key characteristic of special topic-specific NetHui is the low cost for people attending. At only $25 per ticket it is designed to encourage genuine cross-sector participation and discussion.
