Cory Doctorow to join special NetHui on Copyright

Posted:

We are delighted to announce Cory Doctorow will join a special NetHui focused on copyright on Monday 12 March at Te Papa in Wellington.

Doctorow is an international blogger, author and activist, who we are thrilled to have join this special topic-specific NetHui to provoke dialogue on copyright and what he describes as 'the tricky balance between creativity, culture, and the relationship between audiences and creators'.

More about Doctorow and his writing

This NetHui will be a space to explore, discuss and debate copyright, which is especially important as the NZ Govt is doing a review of the Copyright Act next year. The Internet community is invited to gather to share information, analysis and perspectives around building copyright policy that works for the future of the Internet and New Zealand.

Further details and a call for community input on the programme will be announced early in 2018 - stay tuned for more!
