Register now for NetHui West Coast The NetHui 2018 Roadtrip is coming to the West Coast in October. If you are interested in how we can make the most of the internet to benefit our region then make sure you register for the NetHui Roadtrip.
NetHui offers a diverse programme addressing the challenges and opportunities the Internet brings to us all. Because the programme is developed by the community, the NetHui Roadtrip will hold discussions that are unique and relevant to the West Coast.
Many West Coast businesses, community groups and individuals have already been involved in setting the agenda for the day, which will include sessions on The Internet of Things, rural connectivity, beyond bricks and mortar, website DIY, the impact of technology on education in an isolated region, boosting our region using social media, computer security, blockchain and building resilience through technology.
You can register now to attend NetHui West Coast – tickets are just $30 for the full day. At the same time, you can volunteer to assist on the day or help the advisory committee with planning and promotion.
Andrew Robb, West Coast Regional Council Chair, says it’s great to be able to welcome the national NetHui event to the West Coast.
“This is a fantastic event and it’s a topic that is of huge interest to people on the West Coast. Our unique environment means we have special opportunities and challenges to talk through, so we can make the most of emerging Internet technology.
“While this is a national event, Coasters have been heavily involved in setting up and deciding the topics we want to discuss. The advisory committee received many suggestions and ideas for topics and we have been able to put together a great programme. We know the issues we cover are important to Coasters and we’re hoping for some robust conversations and great ideas.”
